Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Alisha Hyman founded her home-based sugaring business in 2017. She then went on to work at one of the busiest sugaring boutiques in the City.

In 2019, Alisha combined her high-quality technique with the comforts of home to create Sugar YYC. But it wasn’t long after bringing on a talented team of women who offered a wide range of personal services, that Alisha knew they would eventually need more space.

Sugar & Silk is the evolution of Sugar YYC. A new brand to represent the exceptional services offered by Alisha and her dedicated team, with a brand new, expanded location coming Winter 2023.

    Sugar & Silk Nurse Injector, Debbie is a certified health professional with a specialty in dermatological treatments. She is a registered nurse with over 25 years of experience and delivers the most up-to-date treatments to help clients achieve their skincare goals.

    Her passion is working with wrinkle-smoothing neuromodulators like Botox and Dysport, and hyaluronic acid fillers. Since focusing exclusively on injectables, she has become a master of her technique.

  • Nikita is a Sugar & Silk Sugarist and Brow Specialist, providing lash lifts, brow tints, brow lamination and more.

    Born and raised in Calgary, Nikita is an S&S Sugarist and Brow Specialist with a Makeup Artistry diploma from the Blanche Macdonald Centre in Vancouver. She grew up in the beauty industry, watching her mother build one of the most successful hair salons in the City, and working at a popular aesthetics boutique.

    Nikita has an eye for symmetry and experience working with a wide variety of face shapes and skin tones. Her goal is to enhance your natural beauty by elevating your distinct features.

  • Mariann Monages is a Spanish-speaking Sugar & Silk Sugarist who has been providing high quality treatments since 2019.

    An S&S Sugarist, Mariann has been perfecting her skill since 2019 and is dedicated to providing high-quality treatments. She takes extra care to ensure her clients feel comfortable and at ease at the studio, and as a Bilingual Sugarist, clients love practicing their Spanish during her treatments.

    On her days off, Mariann enjoys well-deserved time with her family, and checking out ice cream shops (recommendations always welcome)!

  • Jeallene

    Jeallene is an esthetician, born and raised in Toronto, but later moved to Calgary in 2020. After completing the CIDESCO Beauty Therapy and Advanced Clinical program at The Esthetic Institute, she found her passion in performing facials and hair removal services. Jeallene prioritizes comfort and is dedicated to helping clients feel confident in their own skin.

    Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, vlogging, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
